I Dare You - Book Tag

Hello there! How are you?

I saw this tag on HardbackHoarder youtube's channel and I thought it was a really good one so I'm going to do it. Apparently the original creator was deleted but if you find it let me know.

1. What book has been on your shelf the longest?

Probably one of my sister's copies of Stephen King. Don't know which one though. I'm reading them in english and her copies are in Portuguese but I still want to keep them.

2. What is your current read, your last read, and the book you’ll read next?

I am currently reading The Female of The Species and listening to Whichwood. I finished listening to The Mothers today and I plan on reading The Shining next.

3. What book did everyone like, but you hated?

Humm... The last book on a series of unfortunate events and A Cold Legacy the final book in The Madman's Daughter trilogy.

4. What book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read, but you probably won’t?

Well... What about the rest of The Mortal Instruments? The series and sub-series are so long that I don't see myself picking it up again... Oops.

5. What book are you saving for retirement?

Definitely A Song of Ice and Fire series... He's not in a rush to finish this series so I'm not in a rush to buy them and read them.

6. Last page: read it first, or wait ’til the end?

Wait until the end. I used to read the last sentence of a book when I was younger but nowadays I don't enjoy being spoiled all that much.

7. Acknowledgement: waste of paper and ink, or interesting aside?

I rarely and I do mean rarely read the acknowledgements... Onyl if I was really obssessed with the book will I read them.

8. Which book character would you switch places with?

I don't have one. I tend to like books that have problematic worlds so I would die instantly. AHAH

9. Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life? (Place, time, person?)

I have 6 to be exact. The books my boyfriend gave me for our 3 year anniversary while we took a weekend off. It was a great weekend.

10. Name a book that you acquired in an interesting way.

Hum, I got my sister to bring me Gemina from france, just so I could have the Shakespear and Co stamp on it. Does that count?

11. Have you ever given a book away for a special reason to a special person?

I hope this doesn't mean I am a bad person, but no I have not.

12. Which book has been with you most places?

My books don't go very far ahah I think I would say Sleeping Beauties because I took it to the north of my country when I went there to visit my boyfriend's family and I took it everywhere with me.

13. Any “required reading” you hated in high school that wasn’t so bad two years later?

I'm sorry to say but all books that are required to read in school in my country are crap. I don't think I ever finished one to be honest.

14. Used or brand new?

What about both? But I do buy more second hand because they are cheaper and there's something special about a pre-loved book.

15. Have you ever read a Dan Brown book?

Yes I have, and I remember loving it. I really want to read his last novel to see if I still like his writing.

16. Have you ever seen a movie you liked more than the book?

YES I HAVE, WORLD WAR Z. I have never been more disappointed in a book geez what a waste of money...

17. Have you ever read a book that’s made you hungry, cookbooks included?

Yaasss... The Harry Potter books, they talk about their banquets and the food and candy and I don't think I have ever craved anything so much ahah I will try to stay away from them when I get pregnant!

18. Who is the person whose book advice you’ll always take?

I have yet to find a person like that. I tend to be a moody reader and I don't have many friends who read also we have very different tastes so I trust no one ahah I'm joking I just assume everyone has a different oppinion so I don't take anyone's advice too seriously.

19. Is there a book out of your comfort zone (e.g., outside your usual reading genre) that you ended up loving?

I can't think of one, so I think the answer to this one is no?! I tend to stay inside my very confortable reading bubble and I don't really try to go outside of it. Yay anxiety!

I will tag everyone who wants to do this, so please do it and let me know :)
