Title: How to Act Like a Grown-Up
Author: Mark Dupré
Publisher: Broadstreet Publishing Group, LLC
Release Date: May 1st 2015

My Rating:

Are you not quite as ready for the adult world as you want to be? Are you a grown-up who doesn't feel like one? Do you know someone else who needs to act like a grown-up? With humor, occasional bite, and a deep desire to be helpful, this book is today's manual for moving into adulthood.

Filled with a mountain of practical advice, it's a treasure trove of grown-up perspectives that many of us never got to hear on our way to twenty-one. In twenty-nine short, easy-to-read chapters, author Mark DuPre takes what he's learned the hard way and lays it all out there to help everyone of any age move closer to acting like a grown-up. Wise and witty, this book is one of the best gifts you could give - to yourself as well as to others.

My Thoughts

I found this book to be quite ok. It didn't really tell me anything I didn't know but it was still nice to see that someone else has the same ideias or principles on how people should behave.

This book isn't really about being a grown-up more like how to be a decent human being. It tells you how to respect other people while still maintaining the respect for yourself.

It does give some advice on driving for instance and how to find if you're mature enough to be driving which I found interesting but other than that it didn't really provide tips on how to keep your house clean or how to keep yourself organized like I have seen in other books about being an adult.

All in all it was an ok book.

  1. It sounds like such a fun book but I suppose that's not true. Thanks for the honest review!
